Editorial standards
Useful, independent, and clearly labelled.
Trust is part of the product. This policy explains how guides are created, how commercial relationships are separated from editorial work, and how corrections are handled.
Last updated August 24, 2026Original and practical content
Guides are written to answer a specific user question with definitions, formulas, examples, limitations, and a next step. We avoid pages created only to host advertisements or repeat the same answer under slightly different titles.
Accuracy and sourcing
Stable mathematical relationships are explained directly and checked with worked examples. Time-sensitive product, provider, policy, or standards claims should be checked against authoritative primary sources before publication or revision. Estimates are labelled as estimates.
Advertising and affiliate independence
Advertising will be visually distinguishable from tools, navigation, and editorial recommendations. We will not ask visitors to click ads or place ads where they are likely to be mistaken for calculator controls.
If a page includes an affiliate link or sponsored placement, the commercial relationship will be disclosed close to that content. Payment will not determine calculator output or factual conclusions.
Corrections
Substantive errors are corrected when verified. A correction may involve code, labels, tables, examples, or linked guides. Readers can report a problem through the contact page with the affected URL and an example.
What we do not publish
These boundaries protect both reader trust and the long-term sustainability of the site.
- Fake testimonials or invented experts
- Paid rankings presented as independent
- Copied or lightly rewritten articles
- Artificial engagement or click incentives
- Hidden sponsorships
- Claims that an estimate is a guaranteed outcome
